Employment History: Independent Technologies, Inc. (Nov 1998 to present): FoxPro5 Program Developer, Technical Writer and Webmaster.  I like it here and plan to stay.  This company's management is supportive, complimentary, and values their employees highly.  Sales of 12 million with 100 employees is pretty good!  We are growing too.  Everyone works hard, plays hard, and enjoys it all.  Positive feed-back, pay raises, bonuses, and often sharing a few beers in the boardroom after five.  Did I mention the bowling team on Tuesdays?  If you don't bowl, you can stay in the office and work late.  Ok, now check out our website (that's my work) and let me know what you think.

He initially headed the computer sales department at the plant, then became Office Manager, V.P of Advertising Sales, Vice President, and President. The plant employed up to 145 people.

While managing Molenaar, Inc., Greg directly supervised a staff of 20 in the Customer Service, Credit, & Computer Art Departments. He also interfaced with the printing, manufacturing and shipping areas to insure timely product deliveries to over 8,000 distributor clients. Greg organized trade show displays, wrote ad copy and quotes for over 200 cataloged products, and set up cost analysis spread sheets for each product.  He specialized in responding to clients on problem orders, large-quantity quote requests, and rush orders. He brought office automation (FAX, computer networking, order tracking, and shipping manifest systems into the company. Company sales reached $7 million a year, with an after-tax net averaging between 14% and 28% in the last year.  Dad owns most of the stock and plans to take it with him.  He would not sell any.

He designed the image enhancement program, "Starburst Pixel Interleave Technique" in FORTRAN and assembly language for Computer Sciences Technicolor Associates. CSC awarded commendations for this program, which was archived with NASA's Goddard graphic tools. He developed database reconstruction procedures which cut system restore time by an hour per week and reduced tape handling. He designed and wrote a file backup system which saved nine hours a week and provided 10-minute recovery time against four hours previously following software crashes. These procedures resulted in recognition of cost savings to NASA in excess of $70,000 during one year.  The following year he designed programs which saved over 400 hours of tedious data analysis work in updating orbit communications files and corrections to damaged backup tapes (for this he was recommended for a QSI and received pay raise three months early).
