Sharing Coffee with nature's Critters

Sharing Coffee with nature's Critters
Don't usually give my mind the jitters
But one day 'cross my face came flyin'
A fuzzy seed of dandelion.

I watched it hit my coffee mug
just in time to watch a bug
crawl up the side as if to think
how they both could share in my drink.

I nudged them with my little finger
and watched the fuzz and red bug linger,

Then both continued on their paths
without a taste of my repas.

So I settled in to read the news
and safely sip my coffee brews...

My peace was only for a minute
before a flock of them fell in it.

They don't drink much though, I thought.
Just the same, I'd rather not
drink myself the steamy mixture
of Box elder / Dandelion elixir!
